I must admit, when the delivery truck pulled up and unloaded this gigantic box, I thought, for sure, there was an error, and I was going to end up with someone's furniture. Upon opening the box, I was quite impressed with the way everything was packaged. It would have taken a major catastrophe to cause any damage to the paintings. I was hoping to matte and frame before I gave it as a Christmas gift, but I won't have the time to get that done until after the holidays. I realize that a painting for graduation is a bit unusual but most college grads didn't spend their teen age years overseas within an hour's drive of Venice either. This particular scene will always remind us of the last weekend we spent in Italy walking from the train station to Piazza San Marco and the scene was EXACTLY like S. Sam Park's painting.

We can't tell you in words how happy we are, with our new Parkes lithograph, "Savitri". We began looking for this quite a while ago, and when we walked into Pierside Gallery, you were so helpful and actually located this piece for us in a matter of minutes. That was quite surprising!
